Children from grades K-5 Character Club were learning all this week about compassion. The school wrapped up their week of caring by inviting the Pet Connection to the school. Julie Garvey brought inspiration to the students with her talk about compassion for animals. The group was extremely interested in hearing what we do and how they can be responsible pet owners. Volunteer helpers assisted with letting the kids pet the puppies that were brought for show and tell! Thanks to the Teachers and Mr. Ed. Przybyciel for inviting us to be a part of this important lesson!

Troop 80 Girl Scouts and their leaders from the Elma/East Aurora areas visited the shelter on Thursdayafternoon, March 16th.

They had gotten together to bring the cats and kittens hand made catnip sock toys. The cats immediately were in a cat nip frenzy and showed off how silly they can be!

The girls loved the visit and made a few new feline friends in the process! Troop Leaders Sue Rodgers and Natalie Wurtz promised to keep in touch and bring back items from the Wish List on their next visit.

Pictured Left to Right. Claire Artnott, Julianne Stackowski, Lea Sommer, Grace Rodgers, Lauren Marks, Stephanie Putt, Nikki Wurtz, Lauren Orynowtka, Jessica Vaccare and Will Wurtz gathered around with friends in hand to say goodbye!

THANK YOU LADIES & GENTLEMAN FOR BRINGING FUN FOR THE KITTIES'!
